Create a loan account category
You use loan account categories to group the different loan products that your organization offers. This helps with reporting and analysis by letting you filter, sort, and subtotal reports by loan categories.
The loan account category also allows you to enable autonumbering of your loans by assigning a unique document sequence to each category.

- Go to Lending Management > Setup and select Add (circle) next to Loan account categories.Alternatively, select Create on the Loan Account Categories page (Lending Management > Setup > Loan account categories).
- In the Name field, enter a unique name for the loan account category.
- If you want loan accounts for this category to have their account numbers assigned automatically, enter a document sequence.
The document sequence for a loan account category must be used exclusively for that loan account category. It can't be used for other loan account categories, or anywhere else in Intacct.
- In the Description field, you can enter other information about the loan account category.
- Select Save.
