Edit or deactivate a loan account category
When you edit a loan account category, the changes are applied to all new loan accounts to which the category is assigned.

- Go to Lending Management > Setup > Loan account categories.
- Find the loan account category that you want to edit.
- Select Edit at the end of the row.
- Change or deactivate the loan account category.
- Name: The name of a loan account category must be unique.
- Document sequence: The document sequence cannot be changed if the loan account category has been assigned to a loan.
- Status: To deactivate the loan account category, change its status to Inactive.
Deactivating a loan account category only means that you can't assign it to new loan accounts. For any existing loan accounts that use the loan account category, the accounts and related reporting are not affected.
- Select Save.
