Configure Sage IntacctSage People Integration

When Sage Intacct and Sage People are connected, you set the following Sage People Integration configuration options in Intacct:

  • Enable features
  • Object synchronization
  • Field mapping

Configure synchronization

You can configure Sage People Integration synchronization activity from the Intacct configuration page.

When Enable Sage People synchronization is selected, synchronization is enabled for all configured elements. Synchronization happens in real time.

It's common to deactivate synchronization while you configure your integration, then enable it when you’re ready to sync.
  1. Sign in to Intacct as an administrator.

  2. Go to Company > Admin > Subscriptions > Sage People Integration and select Configure.

  3. Deselect the Enable Sage People synchronization checkbox and select Save.

Before you set your integration options, prepare your data in Intacct and Sage People. This consists of cleaning your data so it's accurate, complete, and ready for synchronization. Also consider which custom field mappings you need for your integration.

Team members sync

Sage People team members sync with Sage Intacct employees.

To configure team member sync:

  1. Sign in to Intacct as an administrator.
  2. Go to Company > Admin > Subscriptions > Sage People Integration and select Configure.

  3. In the Team members section of Synchronization options, select from the following options and select Save.

Default Intacct Employee ID

Select which employee ID will be used when Sage People team members are synced to Intacct.

  • Use Intacct Employee Sequencer syncs the Intacct ID that's auto-generated when the Intacct document sequencer for employees is used. This selection also adds a field to the Sage People team member record containing the Intacct employee ID number.
  • Use Sage People Team member ID syncs the Sage People team member ID to the Intacct employee ID.

Create Employee and primary contact at top level Sage Intacct creates both the Employee record and the Contact record for that employee at the top level of Intacct. This option cannot be changed.

Select the name format that you want to use for Sage People team member contact information in Intacct:

  • First Name Last Name: Intacct Employee ID
  • Last Name, First Name: Intacct Employee ID

Field mapping

To properly synchronize data between Intacct and Sage People, standard fields are mapped to the corresponding fields in each application. All standard fields in both applications are mapped automatically.

Standard field-mapping assignments are available for reference when you select Team members on the IntacctConfigure Sage People page.

You can map additional fields or override standard field mappings using the Custom Mapping list, which is also available when you select Team members. How to overwrite a standard mapping is described in more detail in Custom field mapping—Sage People Integration.

You cannot map two fields to the same field.
