Sage Intacct company environments
Sage Intacct has different types of company environments and each environment type serves a different purpose. This topic provides a brief description and comparison of the common company environments. Contact your Sage Intacct representative for more detailed information.

Sandbox
Sandbox company environments are used by Intacct developers and customers for testing, training, and development purposes. This type of environment is a copy of your production environment that includes all of your transactional data, configurations, and customizations. Experiment with configuration changes, test integrations, and train new staff using the sandbox environment. This environment is not operational, so anything done in the sandbox has no impact on your production environment.
Details:
- Cannot be refreshed more than four times per subscription period
- Additional refreshes incur a fee

Preview
Preview company environments are copies of Sage Intacct production environments in which you can preview and test features coming out with the upcoming release. Preview environments are available approximately three weeks before the actual release, giving you plenty of time to test your system. To receive a preview company before each release, sign up for our Preview Program by contacting your Sage Intacct representative.
Details:
- Login instructions are sent out a few weeks before each release
- Customers who do not log in to their preview company for two quarters in a row are automatically unenrolled in the Preview Program
Production
These environments contain live, operational data used by Sage Intacct customers in their own companies that can be accessed from anywhere by logging in to the Sage Intacct website. This is the environment you normally work in. Adding additional products, entities, or users to this environment will incur extra fees.
