View, create, and import adjustments (GAAP or tax)
This list supports the enhanced lists interface. Learn more about using enhanced lists.
Sage Intacct enables you to enter GAAP (Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles) or tax adjustments in separate adjustment journals. Using the GAAP Journal Entries list and Tax Journal Entries list, you can do the following:
- View the list of journals of each type
- Drill down to the journal entries for a particular adjustment journal
- Create a new adjustment journal entry
In multi-entity shared companies, transaction lists at the entity level include transactions created at the top level that are tagged to your entity. To see transactions created at the top level for your entity, select Include top-level transactions at the top of the list.
You can sort and filter lists to see just the journal entries that you want.

View a list of journal entries in an adjustment journal
Display the journal entries list
To view the journal entries list for GAAP or tax:
- Go to General Ledger > All , then select either GAAP adjusting or Tax adjusting.
View the transactions in a particular adjustment journal
From the GAAP Adjustment Journal Transactions list and Tax Adjustment Journal Transactions list, you can:
- View the list of transactions in a specific journal
- Add, edit, delete, or print transactions (with the right permissions)
- See which transactions have been saved as a "draft" or "posted"
- Go to General Ledger > All and then select either GAAP adjusting or Tax adjusting.
- On the row with the journal containing the transactions, select Transactions.
- Go to General Ledger > All and then select either GAAP adjusting or Tax adjusting.
- On the row with the journal containing the transactions, select View transactions.
