Reclassify an approved GL journal entry
In General Ledger, reclassifying enables you to make certain changes to approved and posted journal entries. For example, you might want to add a reference number or change the department, location, or other dimension.
Another example might be that you allocated across departments and found out later that you needed to change the distribution of the amounts. You can change the line-item amounts as long as the total number of lines and amount of the transaction have not changed. Adding additional lines is not supported.
