Set up customer reconciliation

To allow Sage Intacct to begin the process of matching transactions for the Customer reconciliation report, you need to define the matching sequence and enable the report. Transaction matching applies only to transactions that you create after you complete the setup process.

Step 1: Define the Accounts Receivable auto-match sequence

Permissions	Document sequence: List, View, Add, and Edit

Go to Company > Setup > Settings and select Add (circle) next to Document sequences.
Enter the required fields, and any other information that you want to include in your sequence.

The required fields are:
- Sequence ID
  
  Cannot be changed after save.
- Sequence name
- Sequence status
- Sequence type
  
  Select Alpha.
- Primary sequence
  
  Enter a.
  
  This is the initial value that Sage Intacct will use for the matching code. The second sequence is b, the third c, and so on. After the sequence increments to z, the next sequence will be aa.
- Next primary sequence
  
  Automatically generated, but can be edited.
Select Save.

Go to Company > Setup > Settings and select Add (circle) next to Document sequences.
Enter the required fields, and any other information that you want to include in your sequence.

Step 2: Enable customer reconciliation

User type	Business user with admin privileges

Go to Accounts Receivable > Setup > Configuration.
In the Document Sequencing section, select Enable customer reconciliation.
For AR match sequence, select the alpha document sequence you created in a previous step.
Only alpha document sequences display in the list of selectable options. If you do not see the sequence you created, check the sequence again to confirm that the Sequence type is set to alpha.
Select Save.

Step 3: Assign permissions to run the Customer reconciliation report

Subscription	Company Accounts Receivable
Regional availability	All regions
User type	Business user with admin privileges
Permissions	Users: List, Edit, Permissions
Configuration	Customer reconciliation enabled in Accounts Receivable.

Assign Accounts Receivable Customer reconciliation: Run permissions to users who need to run the reconciliation report.

Follow the procedure that matches your configuration: either assign permissions to a role or assign permissions to specific users.
