Partially match a bank transaction

Partially match a bank transaction from an import file or a bank feed. Partially match bank transactions on the Bank tab. Transactions need to match by type (for example, you can only partially match a credit to a credit).

Partially matching a transaction means that the Remaining to match amount on the Match transactions page does not equal zero. The transaction is designated as Partially matched and your work is saved when you select Match. You can come back later to complete the match.

Currently, you cannot partially match a Sage Intacct transaction.

  1. Go to Cash Management > All > Reconciliation > Bank or Credit card.

  2. Enter account information and select Continue.
  3. On the Bank tab select Match next to a transaction.
  4. Select an Intacct transaction that's the same Txn type as the bank transaction.
  5. Select Match, even though the Remaining to match field is not zero.

You return to the account reconciliation page. The bank transaction is in a state of Partially matched. The header fields containing the total amounts of transactions left to match updates.

Next step: To view partially matched transactions and complete the match, on the Bank tab, select Partially matched from the State dropdown list and select Apply filters. Repeat the steps above until the Remaining to match field is zero, then select Match.
