Dashboards for the service industry
Dashboards help you capture insights and key performance indicators in a centralized place.
Sage Intacct includes some predefined dashboards for companies who use the Services QuickStart template. You can use these dashboards as they are, or use them as a basis to create your own dashboards.
Depending on if you have admin privileges, do one of the following:
| User | Verification path |
|---|---|
| Admin |
Go to the Accounting tab in your Company information, then ensure the QuickStart template field is set to Service industry. |
| Non-admin users |
Create a new General Ledger account, then click in the Category field and search for Work in process.
|
If your organization doesn't use the Services QuickStart template, but you still want these categories, reports, and dashboards, contact your account manager to discuss your options.

A few things to keep in mind after you install the dashboards:
- To use the dashboards, you may need to refresh your browser or log out, then log back in after installation.
- Be sure to update the dashboard permissions so only the appropriate users will be able to see them.
- Don't forget to add a Date filter for each page. The date filter is located along the same row as the dashboard title.
- Consider adding a dimension filter if you want to see information by certain groupings, like entities or locations.
- You may want to reorder components to be more visually pleasing and to group information in ways that make sense to your business processes.
