Deactivate or delete transaction allocation definitions

You can deactivate a transaction allocation definition that you no longer use to reduce clutter in your lists and still retain the values for history or other purposes. You can also delete a transaction allocation definition if it has not been used on a posted transaction.

After you delete a record, it cannot be restored. If you're unsure if you want to delete a definition, set its status to Inactive.

Deactivate a transaction allocation definition

  1. Go to General Ledger > SetupTransaction allocations.
  2. Find the allocation in the list.
  3. Select More actionsEdit at the end of the row.

  4. Set the Status of the allocation to Inactive.
  5. Select Save.
  1. Go to General Ledger > SetupTransaction allocations.
  2. Find the allocation to deactivate and select Edit.
  3. Set the Status of the allocation to Inactive and select Save.

Delete a transaction allocation definition

You cannot delete a transaction allocation definition that's used in one or more transactions.
  1. Go to General Ledger > SetupTransaction allocations.
  2. Find the allocation in the list.
  3. Select More actions > Delete at the end of the row.

  4. In confirmation message, select Delete.
  1. Go to General Ledger > SetupTransaction allocations.
  2. From the Transaction allocations list, find the allocation to delete and select Delete at the end of the row.
  3. On the delete confirmation dialog box, select OK.
