Preference option Description

Language

Select your preferred language and locale. Options are:

  • English (Australia)
  • English (South Africa)
  • English (United Kingdom)
  • English (United States)
  • French (France)
  • French (Canada)
  • German (Germany)
  • Spanish (Spain)

Time zone

Select your preferred time zone.

Note the following expected behavior concerning user time zone:

  • If you do not select a time zone preference, your time zone will default to your company's time zone.
  • Intacct does not automatically update for Standard Time vs. Daylight Savings Time in the United States, Australia, or other applicable county. You need to manually adjust your time zone as appropriate when the time changes.
  • Scheduled reports run based on the company's time zone, but the "As of date" on a scheduled report is based on the time zone of the user who memorized and scheduled the report.
  • If you use bank feed transactions, this preferred time zone will be used to date bank feed transactions if you have not specified a banking cloud time zone for your bank accounts. Intacct recommends you specify a banking cloud time zone for your bank accounts to ensure date consistency.

Time format

Select the format in which you prefer time to be displayed.

Options are:

  • HH24:MI:SS: 24-hour clock
  • HH12:MI:SS AM/PM: 12-hour clock

Date format

Select the date format you prefer to see displayed in Intacct. The date format that you select here is displayed on all pages that have a date present, and on any documents you print from Intacct.

The date format in printed document templates can display differently depending on the applicable date merge field formatting.

Override company preference number separators

Thousands separator

Decimal separator

You can use your company default number separators or you can select your own preferences.

To select your preferred number separators:

  1. Select Override company preference number separators. The Thousands separator and Decimal separator dropdown lists become active.
  2. Select the desired thousands and decimal separators.
  3. Select Save.

To use the company default number separators:

  1. Clear the Override company preference number separators checkbox.
  2. Select Save.

Note the following expected behavior:

  • The thousands separator and the decimal separator cannot be the same symbol.
  • You cannot save "Company default " as a separator option for only one of the separator values. Either both must be Company default or both must be a symbol.

For more information about how this value affects different aspects of Intacct, see Custom number formatting.

General settings

Preference option Description

Report filters

Select whether to include inactive dimensions and accounts in filter dropdrown lists when creating standard and financial reports. Options are:

  • Display all values: Shows all active and inactive accounts and dimensions in report filter dropdown lists.
  • Hide inactive values: Only shows active accounts and dimensions in report filter dropdown lists.

Salesforce.com user key

Enter a Salesforce.com user key if you subscribe to the Salesforce.com Data Exchange. To enable access, enter the same arbitrary key both here and at Salesforce.com.

Default warehouse

Select the name of the warehouse to use as your default warehouse in transactions.

Intacct will only display this warehouse for transactions you create from transaction definitions where the Warehouse selection method is set to "Use the default warehouse". If there's a different default warehouse set on the transaction definition, the default warehouse you select here will override that warehouse.

Select the list type to display after posting a converted transaction

Select the transaction list to display after you convert a transaction. This preference option is applicable to Order Entry and Purchasing.

Options are:

  • Transaction list for the original transaction type: After you convert a transaction, Intacct displays the transaction list for the source transaction. For example, if you are converting a sales order to a OE sales invoice, the sales order list appears when you post the OE sales invoice.
  • Transaction list for the converted transaction type: After you convert a transaction, Intacct displays the transaction list for the target transaction. For example, if you are converting a sales order to a OE sales invoice, the OE sales invoice list appears when you post the OE sales invoice. Use this option to streamline the process when you frequently convert from the All transactions view or convert many transactions at once.

Inherit date from source transaction for Order Entry transactions

Inherit date from source transaction for Purchasing transactions

When converting transactions in a workflow, specify whether the target transaction should inherit the source transaction date for Order Entry transactions, Purchasing transactions, or both. When not selected, the target transaction date defaults to today's date.

For example, say you are converting a purchase order to a PO purchase invoice. The purchase order's transaction date is May 1, 2026 and today's date is May 15, 2026. If Inherit date from source transaction for Purchasing transactions is selected, the PO purchase invoice transaction date defaults to May 1, 2026.

Note the following expected behavior:

  • If your company is configured to use separate transaction and GL posting dates, the Inherit date from source transaction options only affect the transaction date. The GL posting date still defaults to today's date.
  • If your company is not configured to use separate transaction and GL posting dates, the transaction date is also the GL posting date. In this scenario, the transaction date must be in an open financial period. If you choose to inherit the source transaction's date, this date might fall within a closed period. In such cases, you'll need to change the date in the target transaction to a valid date within an open period before posting.
