Console templates overview
Console templates contain a custom set of structural information that you can use to create a new Intacct instance. An instance refers to a client or entity. Depending on your console type, you can create a new client or entity.
When you create an instance, select a console template during setup. The structural information is copied into the new instance to save you time. Then, you can change that information as applicable during setup.
Structural information includes:
-
Master lists, such as the chart of accounts and account groups.
-
Accounting settings, such as the reporting method and currency format.
-
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable configurations.
Console templates do not include the following data:
-
Transactions
-
Customers
-
Suppliers
-
Items
-
Bank account numbers
When do I use a console template?
Users in a console with administrative privileges and the appropriate permissions can use a console template when they create a new instance. The console templates are only applicable to the type of client or entity that you can create within your console. For example, a user in a Partner console can create demos or debug types, but cannot create production types.
Console templates are only available to the following users:
-
Partner (VAR)
-
Management
-
Accountant (SIAP / BPO)
