Dashboards for nonprofit compliance

Dashboards help you capture your financial compliance information in a centralized place.

Sage Intacct includes some predefined dashboards for nonprofit organizations who use the Nonprofit QuickStart template. You can use these dashboards as they are, or use them as a basis to create your own dashboards.

About the dashboards

  • Dashboard - NFP: displays an at-a-glance view of key financial and operational information.
  • Cash analysis: displays an at-a-glance view of cash flows and cash trends.
  • Compliance: offers a centralized view of financial statements that come ready-to-use with Sage Intacct formatted under the FASB guidelines, including the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities, Statements of Cash Flow (both direct and indirect), and the Statement of Functional Expenses. This dashboard also includes 990 reporting worksheets. All of this is to help you prepare for your annual financial statement and tax statement.
  • Disclosures: provides a centralized place to keep quantitative information with room to include qualitative discussions that help nonprofit organizations convey their financial story. This dashboard can be especially helpful as FASB guidelines increasingly emphasize the need to provide meaning to your finances through your disclosures.
  • Role-based dashboards: contain relevant reports, tasks, and other information (such as links and graphs) used most by selected roles. The following role-based dashboards are available:
    • AP manager
    • AR manager
    • CFO
    • Controller
    • Dept mgr - revenue
    • Dept mgr - support

Use the dashboards

A few things to keep in mind after you install the dashboards:

  • To use the dashboards, you may need to refresh your browser or log out, then log back in after installation.
  • Be sure to update the dashboard permissions so only the appropriate users will be able to see them.
  • Don't forget to add a Date filter for each page. The date filter is located along the same row as the dashboard title.
  • Consider adding a dimension filter if you want to see information by certain groupings, like entities or locations.
  • You may want to reorder components to be more visually pleasing and to group information in ways that make sense to your business processes.
