Standard task catalog

A standard catalog includes a list of your standard definitions for tasks. When you add from the catalog to a project that means you are selecting the standard definition on which to base new project tasks. Sage Construction Management does not use items. When it sends commitment-related transactions to Sage Intacct, Sage Intacct relies on the item on the cost type setup to determine the GL account to impact based on the transaction definition. If you plan to integrate with Sage Construction Management, assign an item to every cost type. For example, you can define standard definitions with industry-specific values. Then, when you add from the catalog, the standard definitions you select from the catalog populate your new project tasks with those industry-specific values. After adding the task to the project, you can change prefilled values to align with your project needs. Think of the standard catalog as a library of your organization's standards. Selecting a standard definition from the catalog works as a template upon which to base project tasks.
