View, edit, delete tasks
A task is a unit of work to be performed for a project. The Tasks list contains all tasks that have been created for your projects. Use this list to search, sort, and filter tasks.
Key points
- You are not allowed to delete a task if you charged the time against it or if the task is an Order Entry document line item.
- You can filter the view of the Task list to only show tasks which are In Progress.
- To make a task unavailable for timesheet entry, assign it a Task status of Not started, Completed, or Planned.

View task details
- Go to Projects > All > Projects > Tasks.
- Find the project in the list and select the Tasks link.
- Find the task in the list and select More actions > View at the end of the row.
- Go to Projects > All > Projects > Tasks.
- Find the project in the list.
- Select View next to the project.
Edit a task
- Go to Projects > All > Projects > Tasks.
- Find the project in the list and select the Tasks link.
- Find the task in the list and select More actions > Edit at the end of the row.
- Go to Projects > All > Projects > Tasks.
- Find the project in the list.
- Select Edit next to the project.
Delete a task
- Go to Projects > All > Projects > Tasks.
- Find the project in the list and select the Tasks link.
- Find the task in the list and select More actions > Delete at the end of the row.
- Go to Projects > All > Projects > Tasks.
- Find the project in the list.
- Select Delete next to the task.
