Configure project estimates
You can configure project estimates to:
- Use the project, task, and cost type (for Construction subscriptions only) dimensions to categorize your project's actual and estimated costs at detailed levels.
- Post project estimates to General Ledger (GL) budgets.
- Determine a numbering convention that creates unique estimate IDs automatically.
You can have several estimates for the same project. For example, when you define the project scope, you can use a different estimate for each phase of the project. Use project-specific estimate IDs to group estimates by project.

Configure project estimates
- Optionally, set up estimate types.
- Enable GL budgets that allow posting of project estimates.
- To configure an existing project estimate, go to:
- Projects > All > Projects, edit the project, then select the Estimate tab.
- Projects > All > Project Estimates and edit the estimate that you want to configure.

- Go to Projects > All > Projects.
- Next to the desired project, select More > Edit.
- Select the Estimate tab and edit the estimate that you want to configure.
