The 2 most common causes of missing dashboard components are:
-
The report is not public.
Memorized Reports must be set to Public so that anyone other than the report creator can view them.
-
Go to Reports > All > Reports center.
-
Go to the Memorized tab and find the report.
-
Select Edit.
-
Select the Public checkbox.
-
-
You do not have permission to access the report or underlying data used in the component.
Some components require specific permission:
-
Record list: Your administrator assigns permission to see a list of records, such as accounts, suppliers, AP supplier invoices, and AR sales invoices.
-
Report: The owner of the report assigns permission to view the report.
-
The Report view must be set to Live rather than Snapshot. Complete the following steps to make a report view live:
- On the dashboard, in the report component, select Settings.
- In the Component properties window, in the Report view field, select Live.
The Report view field appears only for Report component types.
If the data is based on a consolidation book, the information can be different than you expect.
In multi-entity and multi-currency companies, if components use consolidated reporting books, the data included is through the last time a book was consolidated. This is because that's all the data that the reporting book has recorded.
This is still all the data recorded for your selected date.
Use the zoom in feature on your browser to increase the size.
It’s likely that the components, such as performance cards, are in a section of the dashboard designed to appear a particular way, despite the overall dashboard settings.
This is the way that dashboards are designed. Some areas are set up to look a certain way.
If a component is moveable, you can drag it to the desired location on the dashboard.
For custom reports, the most common reason is that the component itself does not include the dimension that you filtered for. The field used as a filter in the dashboard also needs to be in the report.
For example, the dashboard has a filter on the Department dimension. For the dashboard to filter for the department, the custom report must have a value in the Department ID.
Select Refresh for that component. For example, if you've added performance cards to the top of a dashboard, the displayed value can be up to 15 minutes old. It's not a live connection.
To update, hover over the upper right of the performance card and select Refresh.
In some cases, such as some reports, you might need to close and reopen your browser, or move to a different page and then back.
This is normal. Dashboard filtering works with performance cards, financial reports, and financial graphs.
Filtering does not apply to custom reports or standard subledger reports.
