Edit company or entity 1099 payer information

You might need to correct or update the payer information that prints on your 1099 report. For example, the Federal ID might be blank, or the address might be out of date.

If you're enabled to Issue a separate 1099 per entity, update payer information at the entity level on the Entity information page. If this option is not enabled, update company address information at the top level on the Company information page.

Edit the company name, address, or Federal ID on 1099s

  1. Go to Company > Setup > Company > Edit.

    The Company information page appears.

  2. On the General information tab, locate the Name field, Address line 1, Address line 2, City..., and Federal ID fields.
  3. Enter the appropriate information.
  4. Select Save.

Edit the entity name and address on 1099s

If you are enabled to Issue a separate 1099 per entity, you can have the legal address of the entity print on 1099 forms.

  1. Within the entity, go to Company > Setup > Entities >Edit.

    The Entity information tab appears.

  2. On the Entity Information tab, locate the Legal contact section and select Enable legal name and address on 1099 and 1096 forms.
