1099 transactions
While you cannot merge suppliers in Intacct, you can update 1099 supplier information to include amounts from a duplicate supplier record.
Then, you can deactivate or remove the duplicate supplier.
By default, each supplier is set up to have a specific 1099 form and box to which all associated transaction information is tagged.
If your company is configured to override the 1099 form and box on a transaction, you can change an individual line item's 1099 information during transaction creation.
If you do not see the 1099 option at the line level, it's possible that the transaction originated in Purchasing and has a transaction definition that does not post to Accounts Payable. Or, the supplier is not set up for 1099 treatment.
While Intacct does not support the 1099-K form, you can track 1099 credit card transactions within Intacct for your own reference.
Printing forms
When the Accounts Payable menu shows 1099 options at the top level only, this means that your company is not set up to issue 1099s at the entity level.
If this is in error, ask your administrator to update your configuration in Multi-Entity Management and select Issue a separate 1099 per entity.
To prevent alignment issues, make sure you're using 1099 forms that you purchased from intacct.dsa-direct.com, and that you have the latest tax forms. Tax forms purchased from office supply stores or other suppliers are not aligned for printing from Sage Intacct.

You can print tax forms for the current year and prior year only.
Missing or incorrect information
While you can easily include or exclude transactions for 1099 treatment during transaction creation, how you update existing transactions is a little different.

When you update the supplier record to select a new 1099 form, any initial values from the old form are retained.
To clear the values, edit update the 1099 form again. Select the original form, which displays the initial values you saved with that form. Clear the values, save the form, and save the supplier record.
Then, edit the supplier record again. Select the form that you want to use now. This restores any initial values that you saved with the new form. Save the supplier record.
If the transaction has not yet been paid, you can edit it and tag it for 1099 treatment.
If the transaction has already been paid or partially paid, reclassify the transaction. If you need to update multiple transactions, use the Supplier 1099 transaction update import form to save time.

To resolve the issue, edit the supplier record or edit the employee record to remove the assigned form. Then, whatever form is being used by the assigned supplier or employee type is what will be used for reporting purposes.

You might need to correct or update the payer information that prints on your 1099 report. For example, the Federal ID is blank, or the address is out of date. Learn how to edit this information for your company or entity.
How the tax ID appears on 1099 forms in depends on the configuration set in Multi-Entity Management.
When the Issue a separate 1099 per entity option is not selected, the multi-entity structure behaves as if it were one company. In this mode, typically the top-level company prints one set of 1099 forms for all entities and all suppliers; however, the same list is also available at the entity level. The 1099 forms contain the company name, address, and tax ID of the top-level entity, even if a subordinate entity made the payment.
While you cannot merge suppliers in Intacct, you can update 1099 supplier information to include amounts from a duplicate supplier record.
Then, you can deactivate or remove the duplicate supplier.
You have the option to enter address information for a supplier using the Address line 3 field on the Supplier information page. This information is not printed on 1099 forms or transmitted when e-filing.
1099 report
Make sure that your current reporting periods are correct.
If you have a supplier or employee for whom you have removed values (leaving the field blank) on the Form 1099 information with default box page, a "0" appears for that box in the 1099 report.
To remove these 0 values from the report, enter 0 in all blank boxes on the Form 1099 information with default box page.
Do your suppliers or employees have a 1099 form associated with their record?
No, there's no form selected: Select a 1099 form on the supplier record or employee record.
Yes, there's a form selected: Make sure that your transactions have been tagged as 1099. 1099 line items will only be included in the report if they’ve been paid in the year for which you're running the report.
Amounts under the minimum reporting amounts as defined by the IRS do not appear in the 1099 report. For example, if you have $200 for a supplier for the 1099-MISC form and the minimum reporting amount is $600 for that year, the data does not appear in the report.
There are a few reasons why a supplier or employee is not appearing in the 1099 report.

The supplier or employee is not set up for 1099 treatment.

The supplier or employee is associated with a supplier type or an employee type with a different 1099 form and box than what exists on the supplier or employee record.
The default 1099 values on the supplier type and employee type override any 1099 values defined on the supplier record or employee record. Learn about 1099 vendor types.
If you change the 1099 form or box of a supplier type or employee type, the 1099 form or box of each included supplier or employee is also updated.For example, you remove or add a 1099 form or box for a supplier but still see (or cannot see) the supplier on the 1099 report. Check that the supplier is associated with a supplier type that already has an assigned 1099 form or box.

The Time period filters on the 1099 report are incorrect.
If your supplier is set up correctly and has AP purchase invoices available for 1099 treatment, this issue can be due to the Time period filters. The Start date and End date fields default to the present year, rather than the prior year. To run for the prior year, clear these dates and enter the correct Time period into the fields provided.
If you select Show minimum eligible amounts only and still see amounts less than the taxable amount, check the opening balance for the supplier.
If you entered an opening balance for a box other than the defined Default 1099 box, enter 0.00 in the opening balance for that default box. This prevents errors in the 1099 report.
