Sync user-defined dimensions

Intacct user-defined dimensions (UDDs) sync to a Salesforce object called Intacct User Dimensions.

For more information about UDDs, see Create your own dimension.

After configuration, any changes made to the selected journals in Intacct are synchronized with Salesforce. Journals are stored on the Intacct Journal object in Salesforce, which is a managed list.

UDDs are stored on the Intacct User Dimension object in Salesforce. All UDD records are stored on this single object. This object is an Intacct-managed list. Changes made in Salesforce to UDDs do not sync back to Intacct.

Changes made in Salesforce to the Intacct User Dimension object do not sync back to Intacct.

The Intacct User Dimension object in Salesforce stores the following information:

Salesforce field label Data synced Notes
Intacct User Dimension Name UDD record name
Intacct Id UDD ID
Type UDD object name Use in filtered picklists to limit selections of records to this UDD type.
Intacct Entity Intacct Entity
Hidden N/A Check to hide from selection in Salesforce forms using a filtered picklist.

The Lookup Object menu

When creating custom field mappings for fields that come from managed lists in Intacct, use the Lookup Object dropdown menu to set the source of that field. The Lookup Object dropdown menu helps to identify the managed list you want to see in Salesforce.

The Lookup Object dropdown menu is only available for use when Intacct detects that the Salesforce field is a picklist.

For example, if you create a custom mapping between the Intacct Term field and the Salesforce Term picklist, choose UDD from the Lookup Object dropdown menu.

UDD selected in the Lookup Object dropdown menu under Custom Mapping.
