Journal entry dimension validations

The Advanced CRM Integration for nonprofits can require specific dimensions on journal entries, which will depend on the requirements and configuration of your Intacct company. This information is shared with Salesforce and used to help the integration meet these requirements.

Journal entry dimension validation

The Journal Entry Dimension Validations shows you which dimensions are required by journal entries that have been mapped.

To view journal entry dimension validation:

  1. Log in to Salesforce as an administrator.
  2. Go to the Intacct Configuration tab in the Intacct Advanced CRM Integration application.
  3. Select the Intacct Synchronization tab.
  4. Select the Journal Entry sub-tab.
  5. In the Journal Entry Dimension Validations section, select View validations.
  6. The Intacct Journal Entry Dimension Validations dialogue opens and displays the status of each dimension validation.
    Turn on or off dimensions in Intacct.
  7. Select Close to exit.

Required Intacct dimension validations

The Advanced CRM Integration displays validation warnings on journal entries when the journal entries do not meet dimension requirements from Intacct.

To turn on or off required dimension validations:

  1. Log in to Salesforce as an administrator.
  2. Go to the Intacct Configuration tab in the Intacct Advanced CRM application.
  3. Select the Intacct Synchronization tab.
  4. Select the Journal Entry sub-tab.
  5. In the Required Intacct Dimensions Validations section, toggle the slider to Enabled or Disabled.

When enabled, validations for Intacct dimension fields based on Intacct Accounts are turned on.
