View bills

View and manage bills from the Bills list in Accounts Payable. From there, you can drill down into bill details, where you can view the transaction history and see how it posted to the General Ledger.

  1. Go to Accounts Payable > All > Bills.

    When you access the list from the top level, you initially only see records created at the top level. To see records created within entities, select Filters and then select Include entity records. Select Apply to update the filter.

    The State column shows where the bill is within the workflow. Learn more about bill states.

  2. Filter the list to find specific bills.

    You can use simple filters at the top of each column, advanced filters, or create a custom view.

  3. To view bill details alongside the list, select the split view icon, then select the bill row.
  4. To drill down into bill details from list view, select the Bill number.

  5. Select the tab containing the information you want to view.

    Posting details

    See how the bill posted to the General Ledger, provided the bill state is posted or paid.

    Posting details show for accrual books only and do not appear for all transactions. See View GL posting details—Accounts Payable for more details.

    History details

    View the creation, modification, and approval history of the bill.

  1. Go to Accounts Payable > All > Bills.

    If you're viewing payments from a top level company, you only see bills created at the top level. To view transactions created at the entity level, select Include private.

  2. Filter the list to find specific bills.

    You can use simple filters at the top of each column, advanced filters, or create a custom view. If you create a custom view, you can add additional fields and arrange them to suit your preference.

  3. Select View next to a bill to see details.

    • Select the Transaction tab to view bill information, drill down into vendor details, and open attachments.

    • Select the Posting details tab to see how the bill posted to the General Ledger, provided the bill state is posted or paid.
