Troubleshoot bank feeds
Troubleshoot your way through bank feeds with these common solutions.
Use the Bank transaction assistant file import to import missing bank feed transactions, or if your bank does not offer a bank feed connection.

Some banks require you to reauthorize your bank feed connection before you receive new transactions. This is a security process put in place by your bank. You'll know if you need to reauthorize if you see a bank feed status of Auth required.
If you need to change your login user name, disconnect from the bank feed and reconnect using the correct credentials.
Some downloaded transactions are not relevant to your reconciliation and act as visual noise and clutter on the page. These might be zero-dollar transactions or duplicate transactions. Store these transactions out of the way by ignoring them.
If you notice a mismatch between the bank feed transaction dates in Sage Intacct and at the bank, you can set the banking cloud time zone for an account. This setting also controls how transactions are dated when they're generated from a creation rule.

Do you need help with finding your bank in the connection portal?
If you need to change your login user name, disconnect from the bank feed and reconnect using the correct credentials.
Chase bank only supports one connection. If you're connecting more than one account, you need to create a financial institution.
General
The Banking cloud tab appears on the account record page for companies enabled for bank feeds. There are a couple reasons why you might not see the Banking cloud tab.
-
Are you creating a new account record in Intacct?
Create your new account and save the record. Then, go back and edit the account. The Banking cloud tab appears.
- Is your company subscribed to Sage Cloud Services?
This can happen when you edit the matched journal entry to change the bank account or the amount. In this case, you can manually match the transaction.
You try to subscribe to Sage Cloud Services at the top level and receive a subscription status of Failed on the Configure Sage Cloud Services page.
To solve, either at the top level or entity level, go to the Configure Sage Cloud Services page and select Save. This should change the top level status to Subscribed.
Make sure you're also enabled for ISO country codes.
There are certain criteria that need to be met for inter-entity transactions to be generated.
Whether an IET is created depends on if the location on the transaction template differs from the location defined on the bank account. These locations must also be in different entities for an IET to be created.

If you were previously able to work with bank feeds using BANKACCTTXNFEED API calls, enable the Bank Transactions for Integrations permission in Cash Management to resume calls.

How a bank connects to Intacct varies by bank. Some bank connections might require specific configurations either at the bank or in Intacct. Learn how to troubleshoot bank connections.

If you have a standard connection with your bank, or are connecting with SISS, this status means that your bank has not yet confirmed the connection. It can take some time for the connection process to complete and depends on your bank.

If your login information changes at the bank, you can edit your login information on the Banking cloud tab on the account record.
If you need to change your login user name, disconnect from the bank feed and reconnect using the correct credentials.
If you connected to a bank feed and chose the wrong start date, you can disconnect from the bank feed and reconnect to select a new start date.
When you disconnect an account, Sage Intacct removes any unreconciled and unmatched bank feed transactions for that account. Any matched transactions become unmatched and the bank transactions are removed from Sage Intacct.

Financial institutions
Not all banks or bank connection providers support the use of a financial institution. Whether or not a bank or connection provider supports this feature is determined by the bank or connection provider. In cases where it is not supported, connect each account individually.
The following are known limitations and scenarios where support is either limited or unavailable from banks and service providers:
-
Yodlee: This service provider limits connections to 20 accounts per financial institution. This is a limitation imposed by Yodlee.
-
Some banks: Certain banks do not support financial institutions.
-
SISS in Australia and Open banking connections in the United Kingdom and European Union: These providers do not support the financial institution structure.
Intacct recommends limiting connections to 20 accounts. While you can connect more (if you're not using the service provider Yodlee), you might experience issues such as delays in receiving data, skipped days, or a complete stop of data. These issues are due to constraints from the banks and service providers and not Intacct.
If you have more than 20 accounts to connect, ensure a smooth connection and data retrieval process by breaking these accounts out with different logins. Each login should be able to access no more than 20 accounts, whether these accounts are connected to Intacct or not. You can then create financial institutions for each login that has access to the accounts you want to connect to a bank feed.
-
Acme Inc. has 35 bank accounts with Big Bank that share a single login. But at Sage Intacct, Acme Inc. only use 5 of those accounts.
Talk to the bank and create one login so you can access these 5 accounts. Make sure the login doesn't have access to more than 20 accounts. Then, map that login to a financial institution.
-
Acme Inc. has 35 bank accounts with Big Bank that share a single login and multiple financial institutions.
Talk to the bank and create a login for no more than 20 accounts and map them to a financial institution. Have Big Bank create a new login for the remaining accounts and map them to an additional financial institution.
