Edit a check signature

Learn how to edit your personal check signature or edit the signature associated with a checking account.

Edit your personal check signature

If the person who is printing checks has uploaded a signature to their Preferences page, that signature overrides the 1st signature uploaded on the Check printing tab.

1. Select your login name at the top of any page and select My preferences.

2. In the Check preferences section, select Remove signature.

3. Select Save.

4. Select Upload signature.
5. On the Upload signature image page, select Choose Files.
6. Find the image file with your signature, and select Open.
7. Select Upload, then Save your preferences.

Edit a checking account check signature

1. Go to Cash Management > All or Setup > Accounts > Checking.

2. In the Checking Accounts list find the account you want to edit.

3. Select More actions > Edit at the end of the row.

4. On the Check printing tab in the Signatures section, select Remove signature.

5. Select Save.

6. Select Upload signature.
7. On the Upload signature image page, select Choose Files.
8. Find the image file with your signature, and select Open.
9. Select Upload, then Save your preferences.

Go to Cash Management > All or Setup > Accounts > Checking.

1. In the Checking Accounts list find the account you want to edit.
2. Select Edit at the start of the row.
3. On the Check printing tab in the Signatures section, select Remove signature.

4. Select Save.

5. Select Upload signature.
6. On the Upload signature image page, select Choose Files.
7. Find the image file with your signature, and select Open.
8. Select Upload, then Save your preferences.

Can't edit your signature?

If you’re having trouble uploading a new signature, or the old signature keeps appearing, try one of the following solutions:

• Be sure to Save after you remove the old signature, then upload the new signature.
• Make sure that the new signature file is 3.0" wide by 0.36" high and at 150 dpi. Save the new signature file as a GIF, JPG or PNG file no larger than 10KB.
• Clear your browser's cache and cookies before uploading the new signature.
• If you're trying to edit the signature on the checking account, check whether you have uploaded a signature on your Preferences page. Signatures uploaded on your Preferences page override any signature associated with the checking account.
