Modify custom SQL ICRW reports

Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW) reports that contain multiple reporting areas are built using custom SQL. A number of the ICRW Construction report library reports contain multiple reporting areas and are based on custom SQL.

You can modify reports that contain custom SQL using the procedures outlined in this topic.

The Construction application requires a separate subscription and related permissions. Expand the following Requirements table for more information on the Construction subscription and permissions.

How to modify custom SQL

The Apply XML feature allows you to modify custom SQL reports in Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW) and retain all of the report formatting.

ICRW automatically generates XML when you create a report. The XML provides everything that you need to modify a custom SQL report and retain formatting, such as column order and formatting, prompts, and comments. Apply XML is available on the ICRW Custom tab.
