Direct Order Entry integration

Sage Intacct has enhanced the way Order Entry records can be synced to Salesforce. We've eliminated the need to use a popup Intacct window to create transactions in Intacct from Salesforce opportunities.

Set up Order Entry sync in Intacct

Set up your Order Entry integration in the standard way:

  1. Set up your Order Entry options in Intacct.
  2. Set up your price list selections in Intacct.
  3. Set up your sales transactions in Intacct.
When setting up direct Order Entry integration sales transaction sync, you have the option to create a one-to-one relationship between the transaction type and the record. For more information, see Sync sales transactions.

Update Salesforce page layouts

Included in the Advanced CRM Integration package is a Sync to Intacct button that can be added to the Opportunity page layout.

When used, the integration validates the chosen transaction type, ensures the validity of the transaction value, and checks for the completion of required fields. After validation, the integration starts the sync process.

Use Salesforce automation to start syncs

Direct Order Entry sync allows you to automate the creation of sales transactions in Intacct when the sales workflow in Salesforce is completed.

Use Salesforce Process Builder to generate automatically a sales document in response to criteria met on an Opportunity, using specified field mappings. For example, you can use direct Order Entry sync to sync automatically an Opportunity to a Sales Invoice when the Opportunity is marked Closed Won. Use the Salesforce Process Builder to add a process to start syncing Opportunities to Intacct when the state changes on the Opportunity.

Or perhaps you have a system that creates hundreds of opportunities daily, and you want to sync them to Intacct without having to post each individually. Again use the Salesforce Process Builder, and triggers or the Intacct mass sync tool, to bulk sync these opportunities to Intacct.
