Edit a matching rule or creation rule

Editing a rule affects all rule sets containing the rule.

Editing a rule or rule set does not affect transactions that have already been matched.

Say you re-run the match using an updated matching rule or rule set. The only transactions that the rule set considers are those which have never been previously matched. Transactions already matched by a rule set, manually matched, or manually unmatched are not considered.

View if a transaction was matched by an updated rule in the Rule updated after match field on the Match transactions page during reconciliation.

  1. Go to Cash Management > Setup > Reconciliation rules > Matching and creation rules.

  2. Find the rule that you want to edit.
  3. Select More actionsEdit at the end of the row.

  4. Make your changes.

  5. Select Save.
