Standard decimal place rounding is 2 decimal places. You can specify the rounding plan used for a company and then set the number of decimal places used for each application.
The following tasks demonstrate how to set the rounding plan, and then configure the Default decimal places setting.
Configure the rounding plan
There are two types of rounding plans to choose from for a company:
- Entity based rounding automatically uses 2 decimal places when rounding all your data, except for columns with non-configurable / standard precision.
- Configuration based rounding allows you to set the number of decimals places used for rounding on an application by application basis. The default setting is 2 decimal places, if you decide not to make any changes.
