On request, Sage Intacct can create a custom connection between your account in Sage Intacct and your bank account. Your bank may or may not support these types of connections. Contact your account manager for more information. |
Your experience depends upon many factors and we cannot guarantee that each bank connection will succeed. The success of a bank connection depends on the following criteria:
-
The type of bank account you are trying to connect.
For example, some banks offer connections for commercial accounts and not retail accounts.
-
The security methods the bank has in place.
-
The region where the bank is located.
In the European Union, United Kingdom, and Australia Open Banking is available and it's easier to make a connection.
-
If your bank supports bank feeds and has a connection available.
Contact your bank to determine if you can access a bank feed connection.
-
Some standard bank connections are limited to no more than 20 accounts per bank login.
-
Some bank connections might require specific configurations either at the bank or in Intacct.
For example, if you are connecting multiple Chase bank accounts, you need to create a financial institution in Intacct.

Use the Bank transaction assistant file import to import missing bank feed transactions, or if your bank does not offer a bank feed connection.
Some banks might require a different connection provider for bank feeds. The process of connecting to a bank feed using FISPAN is similar to how you normally connect to a bank feed but you first need to register with FISPAN.
If your bank requires a FISPAN connection, read this topic to learn how to register as a FISPAN customer and connect your account to a bank feed.
Learn whether you're connected to a bank feed by checking the bank feed status.
SISS is a bank feed provider for Australian banks.
Some banks require you to reauthorize your bank feed connection before you receive new transactions. This is a security process put in place by your bank. You'll know if you need to reauthorize if you see a bank feed status of Auth required.
Bank logins and multi-factor authentication
If your login information changes at the bank, you can edit your login information on the Banking cloud tab on the account record.
If you need to change your login user name, disconnect from the bank feed and reconnect using the correct credentials.

Create a financial institution. A financial institution in Sage Intacct represents your bank. Use a financial institution to connect multiple accounts that share the same login credentials at a bank to a bank feed.
Refresh a bank feed
A bank feed automatically refreshes every 4 hours throughout the day.
Learn more about refreshing a bank feed.
A manual refresh only fetches transactions that posted at the bank from the previous business day. Because Sage Intacct automatically refreshes bank feeds every 4 hours, you should have all of the previous day's transactions available to you when you log in the next day.
Depending on your permissions, you can manually refresh a bank feed from either the Banking cloud tab of the account or during reconciliation.
Transactions typically appear in Sage Intacct on the business day after they post at the bank. Transactions appear on the Bank transactions list, the Banking cloud tab of the account, and the Bank tab during reconciliation. In some cases, it can take up to 5 business days for transactions to appear.
Example: Transactions that post at the bank on Friday can appear in Intacct as early as Saturday. As weekends are usually non-business days for banks, no transactions post at the bank on Saturday or Sunday. That means that there are no bank feed transactions in Intacct on Monday. Monday's bank transactions appear as early as Tuesday.
If it's taking longer than usual for transactions to arrive in the system, do not disconnect from the bank feed. Instead, wait until you see a bank feed status of Partial success or Failed and refresh the feed. Or, check out Missing transactions from a bank feed.
