Queue administration

You can access a list of all offline jobs queued to run in your company. You can also see a history of jobs to determine if an important offline job has been completed or if there were complications. Additionally, you can take control of your offline jobs by pushing important jobs to the top of the queue.

View the Offline job queue to see all offline jobs currently running or waiting to be run in your company. Go to Company > Admin > Offline jobs > Offline job queue.

View job queue

If you have the queue administration - list permission in the company application, you can view the offline job queue (Company > Admin > Offline jobs > Offline job queue.).

The offline job queue page contains information about when the job was queued and what kind of job it is. See the field descriptions to learn more about the different columns.

View job history

You can view a history of offline jobs that have been run in your company to confirm jobs have been completed.

  1. Go to Company > Admin > Offline jobs > Offline job queue.
  2. At the top of the page, select Job history. The Offline Job History page displays. See the field descriptions for the Offline job history to learn more about the different columns.

Manage your queue

You can also prioritize or cancel jobs in your offline job queue.

Prioritize a job

From the offline job queue page, you can push a job to the top of the list.

  1. Go to Company > Admin > Offline jobs > Offline job queue.

  2. Find the job that you want to prioritize.

  3. Select More actions at the end of the row.

  4. Select Process next.
    The job jumps to the top of the list and will be processed after the current job is finished.

Cancel a job

You can also cancel jobs on the offline job queue page if needed.

This control is only available to companies that are subscribed to Silver level or higher for our Premium Level of Service.
  1. Go to Company > Admin > Offline jobs > Offline job queue.

  2. Find the job that you want to cancel.

  3. Select More actions at the end of the row.

  4. Select Cancel.
    You can only cancel jobs that have not yet processed.

Create a custom report

You can create a custom report based on your offline job queue and history. Open the Custom Report Writer, and select Offline job queue as the primary data source, then modify the report as desired.

The offline job queue object (JOBQUEUERECORD) provides a list of offline jobs, including status, for the past two weeks. For information on other used with Custom Report Writer, see Company objects.

There are many types of offline jobs. For each offline job, the job type appears in the leftmost column.

API access to Queue Administration

You can also access and take control of your offline job queue and history from the Sage Intacct API. Look for more information on queue administration APIs in the Sage Intacct Developer portal.

Job type

The type of offline job. There are many job types, including:

  • DDS job: completes Data Delivery Service job
  • CSV import: imports data into Sage Intacct via CSV files
  • Run action: system actions such as posting scheduled transactions or printing and emailing documents
  • Asynchronous API requests: runs offline API requests
  • Recurring consolidation: runs consolidation at set times, according to the schedule
  • Offline consolidation: finishes consolidation offline
  • Account allocation run: generates an account allocation
  • Cheque run: generates cheques in a cheque run
  • Confirm cheque run: confirms cheques in cheque run
  • Void cheque run: voids cheques in a cheque run
  • Scheduled report group: runs reports included in scheduled report group
  • Process and store report group: processes and stores reports in a report group
  • Process and store report: processes and stores reports and their configurations
  • Scheduled memorized report: runs a scheduled, memorized report
  • Scheduled financial report: runs a scheduled financial report
  • Update report: updates a stored report
  • Email report: emails a selected report

Name, Action Either the name of the report or record affected by the job, or the action performed by the job.
Details Additional details of the job, which could include the record information, report information, send-to email address, or more.
User The user who queued this offline job.
Status

The status of the job. Statuses include:

  • Processing
  • Delivered
  • Canceled
  • Failed
A job could fail because the job timed out or there's something wrong with the job information.
Time queued The time at which the offline job was added to the offline job queue.
Wait time How long the job has been waiting in queue.
Start time The time at which the job started.
Active time The total time the job took to process.
Cancel Select to cancel this job. Only available to companies that are subscribed to Silver level or higher for our Premium Level of Service.
Process next Select to process this job after the current job. Only available to companies that are subscribed to Silver level or higher for our Premium Level of Service.
